Bird Watching Destination: Chino Hills State Park

Details: Chino Hills State Park is located in the hills of Santa Ana Canyon near Riverside in the Puente Chino Hills biological corridor and is home to more than 200 species of birds and mammals. Activities include camping, horseback riding, bicycle riding, and hiking. Take the 91 Freeway to Highway 71 North, turn left at Soquel Canyon. Proceed to Elinvar and turn left. Elinvar merges into Sapphire on the left, the park entrance is located on the right.

Birds: Bell’s Vireo, California Gnatcatcher, Coastal Cactus Wren.

Note: Bird listings may include resident and migratory birds and common and rare sightings.
