Details: St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1968 to provide habitat for migratory birds and threatened and endangered wildlife such as American alligator, bald eagle, indigo snake, red wolf, and sea turtle. Public use activities include fishing, hunting, wildlife observation, educational displays, hiking trails, and photography.

Birds: Loons, Grebes, Gannets, Pelicans, Herons, Egrets, Ibises, Spoonbills, Storks, Waterfowl, Vultures, Hawks, Rails, Gallinules, Coots, Cranes, Shorebirds, Gulls, Terns, Skimmers, Pigeons, Doves, Cuckoos, Owls, Nightjars, Swifts, Hummingbirds, Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, Flycatchers, Martins, Swallows, Jays, Crows, Chickadees, Titmice, Nuthatches, Wrens, Kinglets, Gnatcatchers, Bluebirds, Thrushes, Robins, Mimic Thrashers, Pipits, Waxwings, Shrikes, Starlings, Vireos, Warblers, Tanagers, Cardinals, Grosbeaks, Sparrows, Blackbirds, Grackles, Cowbirds, Orioles, Finches.
