Details: Nearly half of the birds found in the U.S. have been seen in Huntington Beach and 321 bird species have been sighted in the Bolsa Chica Wetlands in the past decade.

Birds: Loons, Grebes, Shearwaters, Petrels, Pelicans, Cormorants, Bitterns, Herons, Ibises, Geese, Ducks, Vultures, Raptors, Rails, Coots, Plovers, Stilts, Avocets, Sandpipers, Phalaropes, Jaegers, Gulls, Terns, Auks, Murres, Puffins, Pigeons, Doves, Owls, Nightjars, Swifts, Hummingbirds, Kingfishers, Woodpeckers, Tyrant Flycatchers, Larks, Swallows, Jays, Crows, Bushtits, Wrens, Kinglets, Gnatcatchers, Thrushes, Mockingbirds, Pipits, Waxwings, Shrikes, Starlings, Warblers, Tanagers, Sparrows, Blackbirds, Orioles, Finches, Old World Sparrows.
