Details: Established October 15, 1966, the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area consists of a diversified landscape of forest, mountains, upland prairie, deep canyons, broad valleys, high desert, lake and wetlands. Activities include auto touring, biking, bird watching, boating, camping, cross country skiing, fishing, hiking, hunting, snowshoeing, stargazing, swimming, and wildlife viewing.
