Details

Mono Lake is an ancient saline lake that covers over 70 square miles, supports a unique and productive ecosystem, and is home to trillions of brine shrimp and alkali flies. Millions of migratory birds visit the lake each year and the limestone Tufa towers are a sight to see.

Gulls, Geese, Ducks, Hawks, Eared Grebes, Phalaropes, Swallows, Sparrows, Finches, Crows, Owls, Pelicans, Wrens, Sandpipers, Woodpeckers.

Bird listings may include resident and migratory birds and common and rare sightings.
